Radiant Orchid Inspired Lipsticks

Hey everyone, as you may know radiant orchid is the Pantone color of 2014, so after having my Youtube sub box full of radiant orchid tutorials, I figured I should look for the color of the year in my own collection. While I have a lot of purple eyeshadow, I thought it was easier to recommend lipsticks instead, that way you don't have to commit to a palette or anything like that. These are all drugstore lipsticks (like 99% of my collection) so here is MY take on radiant orchid :) I also should add, these are ALL amazing lipstick formulas, they're not just here cause of the color, I truly love these lipsticks.

Milani Rose Hip (14), Maybelline Vivid in Hot Plum (875), Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Couture (835), and Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie (010).

Top to Bottom: Raspberry Pie, Berry Couture, Hot Plum, & Rose Hip.
Alright, so that's it :) I am loving Berry Couture soo much, it's a wearable every day type of pink. Totally recommend that one if you're only getting one of these.

Ulta Color Coat Cream Eye Shadow in Golden Olive and Rose Gold

I bought these cream eyeshadows a couple months ago without really having any idea of how good they were, I had just seen swatches on a blog. After using them a few times each, I can confidently say I really like these! They're creamier than the Maybelline Color Tattoos, wear nicely, and they come in beautiful colors. There was a sale at the time on Ulta cosmetics so I chose to try these, and now I want MORE. They always have sales on Ulta cosmetics, so I'd say wait for a BOGO 50% and use their 3.50 off coupon in conjunction to get them at a reasonable price, because alone they're $8 bucks a piece, which is kinda high in my opinion.

1 swipe, 2 swipes.

One swipe, 3 swipes.

After those swatches, I don't even think I need to tell y'all again how great these are, just go try one and you'll see yourself! Rose gold is really on trend right now, so I suggest that one. I REALLY wish they had matte ones :(

Almay Intense I-Color Eyeshadow Swatches

Hey everyone, since there's an awesome deal on Almay at Walgreens and at CVS this week, I thought I'd share swatches of the ones I picked up this week :)
This is the first time I own eyeshadow from Almay so I wasn't sure if they'd be any good since there weren't a ton of swatches I found online so I just picked up the ones that appealed to me. I did pick up 3 for brown and 1 for hazel eyes, which I have brown eyes, but that was NOT the reason I chose that color family, you can choose whatever colors you like. No makeup rules here!
Let's look at some swatches now, shall we.

First are the ones for brown eyes.
401 Smokey-I for browns, not sure why they look metallic, but they totally aren't.

All of them went on nicely.

421 trio for browns in natural sunlight.

Again, I don't know why they look metallic, but they're not. The lid shade is more peachy in person, looks pink on here.

411 bold nudes trio for browns.

If you have W&W's Petal pusher I don't see this as a must-have, but I like purples on my eyes so I just went ahead and got this one.

Now the one for hazel eyes.

413 trio for hazels in sunlight.

Not very impressive, but I wasn't using a base so I'm sure they'd look a lot better with a white, or any base underneath.

Alright, hope these swatches are helpful for y'all, while they aren't the most pigmented shadows I've ever tried, they're still nice for a couple bucks and I'm pretty excited to actually use these :)

Wet 'n Wild Spring 2014 Walking the Red Carpet palette

I'm sure y'all have already heard or seen these, but in case you haven't, here's the neutral one of the two :)

Used once, only the left side.

Right to left, bottom to top.

Closer look:

So, now that I actually swatched the right side of the palette, I'm really disappointed because the beautiful gold (2nd shade) doesn't look anything like I expected when swatched. It's just gold glitter, I was hoping it was gonna be as buttery as Wet 'n Wild palettes usually are, but it was a fail for me. I swatched all of these shades quite a few times, again, I was disappointed because it was not what I was expecting. I have last year's Spring 2014 LE palette in Nude Awakening and it is 100 times better. I say save your $5 if you were looking into this palette for that gold, or in general.
